CALGARY – The Calgary Humane Society is looking to the public for help finding the owners or caretakers of a severely neglected bulldog found in Ogden.
The white female bulldog cross was found wandering around a strip mall in the southeast community on Friday, September 5th.
She was taken to a veterinary clinic by a Good Samaritan.
The dog, named ‘Ruby’ by the clinic who admitted her, was severely emaciated, suffering from large facial and hind wounds, eye and ear infections and had fecal staining of her paws.
Officials say the dog died while anesthetized, as vets worked to repair her injuries.

“This poor dog had no permanent identification and as a result we are very limited in our ability to investigate further,” says Brad Nichols, Manager of the Calgary Humane Society’s Cruelty Investi-gations.
“This is some of the most severe overall neglect I have witnessed.”
“[It would] most certainly warrant charges for animal cruelty,” adds Nichols.
If you recognize the dog or have any information about it, you’re asked to call the Calgary Humane Society at 403-205-4455.
