REGINA – After 105 years, Connaught school is being torn down – but some of the masonry on the building is being salvaged.
The school board hopes the historic pieces will be incorporated the new school design.
Connaught was slated to be torn down this year after the school board ruled in favour of rebuilding a new school instead of preserving the current one.
Currently, students that attend Connaught are going to Wascana Community School.
It is expected that the new Connaught school will be ready for students in 2017.
